Spirit of the Wildcats

The Livingston Academy "Spirit of the Wildcats" High School Marching Band enjoys a rich tradition of musical excellence! Each year, around 40 students ages 13 to 18, provide the framework for this performing group that receives top honors in regional and state contests, as well as exhibitions. The marching band is under the direction of Greg Dingwall and assisted Mike Holbrook.

The band performs locally for school events including home football games, pep rallies, basketball games, and other post-season athletic events, and is the featured marching band in the community for activities such as the Livingston - Overton County Memorial Day and Veterans Day ceremonies and Christmas Parade. The Marching Band's exciting, but rigorous, schedule begins in the summer with Band Camp and lasts through most of the fall semester, as the band rehearses diligently to prepare and perfect the year's marching show. The band annually participates in competitions throughout the state.
