 Something New!!

The LA Concert Band to host Spring Concert & Dinner

The Band would like to invite everyone to join us for our Spring Concert & Dinner Monday, May 13, in the Livingston Academy High School Commons Area. Dinner will begin at 6 p.m. and the concert will start at 7 p.m.

The dinner will be $10 a plate, which will include the main dish, two sides, dessert, and drink.

All proceeds from the dinner will go to help the band raise funds for their new uniforms and general cost of running the program.

The concert will be a culmination of music the students have learned throughout the spring semester, including some solo and small ensemble performances.

Come and celebrate the end of another successful semester of music with the band and send the seniors off with a fun time.

We would like to thank the following for helping us reach close to $4,000 towards our NEW UNIFORMS:

New Band Uniforms are much needed after 20+ years.

Above is the New Uniform we are looking at and

are considering for next year. Cost per uniform is approximately $477. Total cost is approximately $37,000 for the complete set of uniforms needed. We are looking at 70 new uniforms, not including shoes and socks. At this time we may be looking at a minimum of a 10% increase in cost. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Raising Money for our General Funds:

1. We were given a 23' - 24' enclosed cargo trailer for hauling our equipment, donated by the Livingston Police Dept., we need some help fixing it up. Check with the LA Band Boosters to see how you can help. See pictures below.

2. Also Overton County Schools Just purchased for us 30 new band chairs. they are designed specifically for musicians. Thank you Overton County Schools.

3. Repair of band instruments or purchase of new ones.

4. Supplies to help us keep playing and performing.

5. Help paying for cost of transportation of the Band.

This past year the cost of transportation was

approximately $3,800.00.

6. Then any other costs that come up,

including fees for entry into contests.

7. Help to set up scholarships for students

to be able to be apart of the Band.
