Updates & Changes

Good Afternoon,

With all the things that could happen here we are today struggling with the onset of COVID-19 and its ability to stop the world as we know it. We are still uncertain the the near future holds and to what degree it affects what we will be doing as far as school goes but what we are doing is moving forward one step at a time. I have set up the BAND app and I now believe I have almost everyone. Please check band everyday for something from me to keep us informed and up to date. I am working on a couple of things I hope you will all enjoy to help us to keep playing and learning music. You are my extended family and I care about each of you. Let me know if I can be of help to any of you at any time. Parents you can contact me anytime, if I can help you in any way.

This To Shall Pass and we have bright and wonderful days ahead.

The Livingston Academy "Spirit of the Wildcats"  Band program consists of marching band, concert band, pep band, jazz band, wind and percussion ensembles, and color guard. The marching band and color guard begin their very busy schedule with band camp in July and generally rehearse and perform from August through early November. Livingston Academy Band competes in the Tennessee Music Educators Association (TMEA) Division II classification and the Middle Tennessee School Band & Orchestra Association (MTSBOA). Concert Band and Jazz Band perform from December through May and members regularly participate in MTSBOA festivals, solo and ensemble festivals. The marching band, concert bands, pep band and jazz band all appear at school and community functions throughout the year. The bands perform under the direction of Greg Dingwall and assisted by Mike Holbrook.
