Tuesday Evening at 6:30 PM, there will be a booster meeting in the Band Room. Just a friendly reminder that all parents of Band members are boosters and your comments and help are always wanted to help make us better and meet the needs of our students and band program. I appreciate you all for your commitment to your students and encouragement you give them as a part of the LA "Spirit of the Wildcats" Band Program.
Itinerary for Trousdale County Yellow Jacket Invitational, Saturday, Sept. 26, 2020
8:30 - 9:30 AM Practice on Football field
9:30 - 100:00 AM Load trailer or bus
10:00 AM load Bus and head for Trousdale Co.
11:30 AM Arrive TCYJI unload bus and trailer/ bus get into uniform and get ready for warm-up
12:30 PM Warm-up in site A for field performance
1:00 PM move to Performance Field
1:15 PM Performance Time - Perform for the crowd and the judges
1:30 PM End of Performance exit field and return to bus parking area, Change and load equipment
2:30 PM return to Stadium and watch Trousdale Co HS perform
3:00 PM Awards
4:00 - 4:15 PM return to bus, load and go home
5:30 - 6:15 PM arrive back at LA, unload and
put away instruments and equipment, Go home.
If you are interested in attending Saturdays Competition Performance, tickets are $10 each and I have the pre-order form here. I need to Know by Thursday so I can give them the number needed. You can pay by Friday evening at the game. I will turn over the money when we arrive, which we be around 11:30 am.

CONCESSIONS WILL BE OFFERED, BUT ONLY BEVERAGES IN BOTTLES AND CANS, PREPACKAGED SNACKS AND HOT DOGS WILL BE SOLD.
2 ENTRANCES: HOME GATE AND VICTORY BRIDGE
MASKS WILL BE REQUIRED OF ALL SPECTATORS & BAND STUDENTS WHEN NOT PERFORMING
· ALL PERSONS MUST BE TEMPERATURE SCREENED UPON ENTRY. ANYONE WHOSE TEMPERATURE MEASURES 100.4 OR GREATER WILL BE DENIED ADMISSION
· ALL PERSONS MUST WEAR A CLOTH OR DISPOSABLE PROTECTIVE FACE COVERING WHILE INSIDE THE STADIUM (EXCEPT CHILDREN UNDER THE AGE OF 2)
· PERSONS EXPERIENCING ANY OF THE FOLLOWING SYMPTOMS SHOULD NOT ENTER THE STADIUM — FEVER, COUGH, SHORTNESS OF BREATH, SHAKING CHILLS, CHEST PAIN, FATIGUE, RACING HEART RATE, UNUSUAL DIZZINESS, LOSS OF TASTE OR SMELL, SORE THROAT, NAUSEA, VOMITING, DIARRHEA, UNUSUAL RASH, OR PAINFUL DISCOLORATION OF FINGERS OR TOES
· ALL SPECTATORS MUST MAINTAIN SOCIAL DISTANCING (6’ OR THE EQUIVALENT OF TWO EMPTY SEATS BETWEEN THEMSELVES AND OTHER FANS) FROM ANYONE OTHER THAN THOSE LIVING IN THE SAME HOUSEHOLD.
· WE WILL PROVIDE A WATER TABLE WITH BOTTLES OF WATER FOR AFTER YOUR PERFORMANCE.
· ALTHOUGH WE NORMALLY HAVE A GREAT RAIN PLAN, WE DO NOT HAVE ONE THIS YEAR DUE TO DISTANCING RESTRICTIONS IN OUR GYMNASIUM. IF IT RAINS, A DECISION WILL BE MADE TO EITHER DELAY OR CANCEL THE COMPETITION BY 8:00 A.M. ON SATURDAY MORNING.

I will be changing the BAND APP and adding more sections for specific groups so be looking for the new updates forthcoming. Summer Band Info & Dates 2020
Dates: Night Rehearsals, due to the time we are navigating through night rehearsals are going to be stopped this year with all hope that we can return to normal next year 2021 – 2022. When we do meet together Covid-19 Health requirements will be in place. Other dates of interest:
Fundraising Event TBA – 8:00 am -12:00 pm, will do a mass mailing to local and community business for their support this year.

Important Notes: Band Camp Week 1, Week 2 and Week 3 are required - mandatory camps for ALL Band Members. These camps involve learning basic marching, learning music, and practicing for our fall marching show, as well as pre-game. These camps will include music rehearsals, warm-ups, sectional practice, marching fundamentals, drill work, etc.. in order for us to learn the fundamentals necessary for our show. If you do not attend Band Camp Week 1, Week 2 and Week 3 a spot Will NOT be written for you in the show. (Communication with the Director is very important.)
Food: snacks and lunch will not be provided this year, lunch, snacks and drinks you will need to supply
Clothing: Wear light clothing, color and weight, shorts, t-shirts, tennis shoes (required), and extra socks. Students can also wear a hat to cover their heads and faces from the sun. Water bottles, sunscreen, sunglasses, snacks, and extra clothes for inclement weather are also good ideas. Masks will be worn as dictated by the guidelines for returning to school by NFHS and the OCBOE.
You are responsible for your own water, snacks and food for breakfast and lunch.
There are 5 home football Games and 5 away Games (we may or may not travel to), there are also numerous festivals and competitions we attend on Saturday’s and you are required to participate. Parades are also a part of what we do.
There is a fee which we require and is not covered under the fee waiver program, this is to be paid by all band and color guard members.Our show for the fall is scheduled to be “The Journey of Man HEROES”. If you have any questions, please call me, Thank you.

The Livingston Academy "Spirit of the Wildcats" Band program consists of marching band, concert band, pep band, jazz band, wind and percussion ensembles, and color guard. The marching band and color guard begin their very busy schedule with band camp in July and generally rehearse and perform from August through early November. Livingston Academy Band competes in the Tennessee Music Educators Association (TMEA) and the Tennessee Secondary Schools Athletic Association (TSSAA) Division II classification and the Middle Tennessee School Band & Orchestra Association (MTSBOA). Concert Band and Jazz Band perform from December through May and members regularly participate in many festivals, including the MTSBOA solo and ensemble festival. The marching band, concert bands, pep band and jazz band all appear at school and community functions throughout the year. The bands perform under the direction of Greg Dingwall and assisted by Mike Holbrook.
